i m installing an electric water pump and it is a 19 gpm pump is that enough for a sb chevy. Around 400hp in a vega wagon.Pretty limited on clearance in front to radiator is 4 1/2 - 5 inches

What make or style of pump is it. Most if not all track cars use some sort of electric pump whether it be a belt drive or direct. If it is one of these there should be no issue of circulation. Cooling issues usaully stem from too small of a radiator or lack of fan size. If its a strip/street car then things are different again. There that's my .02 on that. Hope it helped. Checked on electric water pumps and they move 30 to 50GPM. Rick
