I suppose you want a trans with the morphodite bolt pattern, or do you want just the valve body.

Stevie Now now now thats some harsh words, morphidite . I'm not sure what that really means, is that something to do with Chebbie motors. Oh I forgot your a Professor so you use those big words ;D No just the valve body, I was hoping somebody might have one laying around and wanted to clean there shelf off. Thanks Rick Oh yeah the beast now has a pulse.

Rick:
"Morphodite" is a comic pronunciation of the word hermaphrodite.
1. An animal or plant exhibiting hermaphroditism. 2. Something that is a combination of disparate or contradictory elements.
The way I see it a Buick is a combination of disparate or contradictory elements. Example: Buick transmissions wont bolt up to a chev motor or vice-versa with out the unholy union of an adapter plate. Only the bottom two holes line up. Everyone knows that Chevy reigns supreme. Ah and the front mounted distributor, where oh where have I seen that before. Now I remember Ford and AMC.
Have a nice day
Steve
PS: Good to hear that you got it running

Steve I will have to disagree with the Buick being the morphodite. Since this bolt pattern will fit all GM's for the exception of the Chevy. Only with your said use of a "unholy adapter plate" will this marriage work with a morphodite Chevy. Have a wonderful BOP day. Rick The wife said she would bring the car by today.

Ok Rick. You have a good argument. I'll even give you a scenario (big word). Grandma's 78 Buick Lesabre has the engine throw a rod and Grandpa's 77 Pontiac has a bad transmission. Grandpa is able to take the transmission from Grandma's Buick and install it in his car without the unholy union deal. Now they can't use their sons (the racer) transmission cause he has a chevy. So it all works out great. I don't know what I was thinkin with the whole morphodite deal.

Professor Steve I hate it when you use big words . Your scenario of gramma and grampa is nearly correct except, Doctor Steve, now motor mounts become an issue . Where is this all heading?? Glad your car now has some training wheels. Rick
