FINALLY, some good luck. Randon, Evan and myself went to Acton for the Sport Compact shootout this weekend. We all ran in the naturally aspirated ET bracket class. Evan went out in the first round, break out. Funny part is he told me he was thinking about changing his dial and didn't. If he'd have dialed what he said, he'd have it it EXACTLY. I suffered hard the last weekend in Malta with a new clutch and engine setup. Basically the clutch would drag me through the lights during staging. Got it relatively ironed out about Saturday afternoon in Billings. Darn lucky to get a feel for what was going on in Malta before we left. Randon qualified fastest, I was second fastest. He went out early on a .018 redlight, and I went on to win with what could be my best race ever. after a few rounds, I ran a 13.58 on a 13.45 dial with a .020 light, FOR THE WIN in the finals! WHOHOO! Air was 6800 feet. Randon ran a 13.02@105.6 It's Hard to go fast with a normally aspirated engine that only has 109 cubic inches. Those are good numbers for a non-turbo car in weak air. He drove it hard. He absolutely ran it as a street car in it's full street trim, didn't pull any of the seats out, speakers, nothing. Ran it as it's seen on the street with just some better tires. Being that close to the 12's, I don't know that I could have helped myself. there would have been a big pile of unused seats, speakers, carpet, whatever was loose in the car to be taken out to get that pass!!!! Proud of our guys!
