What time can you run in the 1/8th in IHRA before you need a chassis cert and are you going to have anyone doing a tech day? I am going to get my rail certified this spring in the Hat but that is for NHRA But if I need an IHRA tag to run at your track I would like to get it certified at your track instead of hauling all the way to Edmonton Thanks Darren

As I read it, IHRA Chassis certification is required on any entry faster than 9.00 1/4 mile or 6.00 1/8 mile or 150 mph.

The NHRA certification will be accepted by IHRA until re-certification time then they would like to have it IHRA tag. There has been some talk of getting a certification day here, maybe Dan O. can chime in here. Hope this helps. Rick

I've read that NHRA cert is accepted by IHRA but not necessarily NHRA accepting IHRA cert.
I have 2 cars I'd like to get the chassis's certified on. One of them, it's not necessarily required on, but it would be nice to know I'm safer than need be.
Also, certified chassis cars have a higher selling price down the road. just something to think about there too.
When we get closer to the spring, perhaps we can start a thread called, "who would like to get their chassis certified and inspected" and we can do a roll call of sorts to help get it organized. as an example if there were 20 guys from Zortman and 1 in Malta, would be easier for the chassis guy to just show up in Zortman than have 20 guys load up and tow to Malta if that's where the chassis guy was.
Not sure how many they can do in a day. I've read that it takes about 30 minutes including paperwork to get a car done. Neil might know.
